GALERIE LA PA emerged organically from a private collection. Intimacy, continuity, and curiosity remain central to its approach to collecting.

Initially guided by a fascination with African wooden sculpture, as well as Chinese and Japanese ceramics, the collection gradually broadened to encompass objects from other periods and traditions, while remaining attentive to the unexpected affinities that arise between objects separated by time, geography and systems of belief. Each object is approached both as a romantic invitation and a quiet provocation, favoring works that resist immediacy.

Founded by Iga Lapa, whose academic background in fine arts, antiques and comparative literature shapes the gallery’s understanding of visual and material language.

Based in Frankfurt am Main and sourcing internationally.
